Mechanical diaphragm metering pumps are a major category of diaphragm metering pumps. They utilize a mechanical drive mechanism to directly drive the diaphragm’s reciprocating deformation, eliminating the need for complex hydraulic auxiliary systems. Typically, an electric motor drives an eccentric wheel or a crank-connecting rod mechanism via a reduction gear, converting rotational motion into the diaphragm’s periodic flexing motion to facilitate the suction and discharge of the medium. Because the drive chain consists of rigid connections, the displacement is approximately linearly related to the stroke length. Flow rate adjustment can be achieved by changing the eccentricity or through variable-frequency speed control. While the control accuracy is slightly lower than that of hydraulic diaphragm pumps, these pumps can meet most standard metering requirements.
